There Were Multiple Problems Saving Data (Resolved)

As I had mentioned in the blog before, I was having a hard time finding a solution.  So, this weekend I grabbed my Alienware and went to my grandparents house.  Hooked up my computer, turned it on, and connected to the internet.

While I opened StarCraft I was praying it would work.  The first two patches went fine as they always did.  It finally came down to the moment of truth where the patch would get stuck.  Exactly at fifty-seven percent and at 2.4 mb.  As soon as it passed the fifty-seven mark I knew that this was the solution to this problem.

I thought I would share this to everyone, because I know how frustrating it is when the game doesn't patch. Hope this works for everybody with this situation and happy hunting.

Here are the exact dirrections to follow:

1. Move your computer to a different location where internet is accesible.

2. Connect to the internet.

3. Open StarCraft and wait for the Patcher to open.

4. Let it stay there and finish patching the game (this may take a while).

5. Last, go back to your house and play StarCraft.

There Were Multiple Problems Saving Data

A problem people have been encountering with StarCraft is the game doesn't patch.  It starts downloading the patch and then at a random number it stops.  After it stops it says "there were multiple problems saving data" at the bottom of the patch box.

I have went online and tried to find solutions, but none of them have worked.  Blizzard Entertainment should have found a solution a long time ago for this ridiculous problem.  Apart that you can't play the game, it's a waste of money.

There is only one solution i have found that I have not yet tried.  This is to take your pc to a different location.  Connect to a different wireless or internet connection than yours.  Then wait and see if the game decides to patch, and finally play StarCraft.

If no solution is found Blizzard Entertainment should return the money to people that have bought StarCraft.  It isn't fair to people who can't play and have paid the complete fee of the game.  Hopefully very soon Blizzard Entertainment will find a solution to this problem. That way people can enjoy the game.

Battle Cruiser Rush

An awsome and fun Terran strategy is the BC (battle cruiser) Rush.  This consists of an early Battle Cruiser and a small set of ground infantry units.  Apart from having devastating fire power from the Batte Cruiser you can also target your SCV's (workers) into fixing the Battle Cruiser.  This strategy is mainly good against Zerg forces just because the begging warriors can't attack air.

Even if the zerg decides to go air, the Terran player would already have the advantage of having larger air forces.  Another feature the Battle Cruiser has is the devastating Yamoto Cannon.  This can lay waste to building or even large forces, taking it out in a blink of an eye.  The Battle Cruiser can also be upgraded in every way possible.  The armor is the most important.  This gives the Battle Cruiser extra defences against enemy fire, giving it the possibility of continuing fire on the enemy.  Then comes the upgrades for the attack.  This give the Battle Cruiser extra fire power.

When both these upgrades are combined and researched to the max the Battle Cruiser becomes extremly hard to defeat.  Another switch that is possible, is if the opponent gets a larger amount of enemy air forces, the Terran player should take out Vikings to provide the Battle Cruiser extra fire power against the enemy air forces.  This Terran build is extremely hard to deal with if accomplished.  Three out of four times the opponent will eventually lose to this build, but ofcourse it needs to be done correctly for it to function well.

Protoss Overview

The ancient mysterious aliens called, Protoss, appeard in the Coprullu Sector long before the Terrans. They are pretty phanatical when it come to their ancient beliefs and have spent milleniums developing technology.  Even with all this, it wasn't enough to stop the Zerg swarm from over-runing their home world of Ior.  Many died defending it.  Protoss are getting to the idea that they must adapt their way of life, if they want to survive the battle to come.

There aren't as many Protoss as there used to be.  Don't let their numbers fool you though.  They have some of the best, most efficient warriors around.  It's not surprising for a small force of Protoss units to lay waste to a much larger army.  This is because of their amazing technology and psionic powers.  This is why the Protoss are not to messed with.

Terran Overview

Terran's have been located in the Caprullu sector for years. When their ancestors crash landed there they only had two things in their mind. Which was technological advances and never give up. This didn't last long though, because of the Zerg invasion.

Many brave souls were lost during the conflict. In addition this a man named Mengsk founded the dominions.  This army was supported by a government that ruled under tyranny and oppression.  Although many Terrans bowed down to Mengsk some kept some pride and refused to join them.  Some of them still believed that freedom was worth fighting for.

When it comes down to battle, Terrans aren't afraid of nothing.  This army is a though cookie to beat.  They might not have the extreme advanced technology that the Protoss have founded over centuries of existance nor the capability to adapt to anything that the Zerg forces have developed. They do have a very powerful weapon that is; teamwork.

The Terran army starts with the basic unit called the marines.  This force is the front line-men that could face absolutely everything that encounters them.

To reinforce these units comes in the heavy marauders unleashing hell with their explosive shooting grenades.

In addition to this deadly unit combination comes in the reapers.  A fast moving unit to harass workers collecting minerals to sustain an army in battle.

Apart from the deadly units, the Terran army has a small but deadly warrior called the Ghost.  Instead of moving up and attacking the enemy dead on, the Ghost sneaks up and strikes with a deadly tactical nuke.  Inflicting maximum pain on small and defenseless units.
